Instant Agar

1. Product description:
Agar is colorless or yellowish powder made from Gelidium and Gracilaria with high water absorption and high water holding capacity. It is odorless and has clean taste. Dry agar is capable to absorb more than 20 times of water when immersed in cold water. Agarose gel has strong heat resistance, and the acid resistance of Agar is better than that of gelatin and starch.
Instant agar possesses the speciality of quick soluble. It can dissolves at 55℃ water and completely dissolves at 75℃ water.
 
2. Scope of application:
agar has the properties of coagulation and stability. It can be used as thickener, coagulant, suspension agent, emulsifier, preservative and stabilizer. Widely used in beverages, jelly, ice cream, pastries, fudge, canned food, meat products, food, cold food, etc.

3. Function:

  1. Heat-resistant, stable to thermal treatments

  2. Excellent gelling, stabilizing, texturizing and thickening properties

 
4. Dosage: 0.05%-0.5% (details please refer to technical parameters).

5. Use method: Agar is used in structure forming of foods. It functions by solidify and form a colloid, which is used as the main raw material and connect other ingredients, such as sugar solution, spices and so on.
